Scotland Takes the Austin Trophy (AGAIN!)
One sunny weekend in July, our Youth & Leaders snuck over the border for the National Youth Rally hosted by Yorkshire Region… but being Scottish, we showed up early
We were there to get the party started! Why? Because……………..
No Scotland, no Party!
Friday it was Rollercoaster Time! Flamingoland was calling 🦩🎢
We screamed, laughed, and maybe lost a hat, glasses and composure on the rides, then it was Rally time!!
👢 Friday night: fed, watered, taught line dancing (some more coordinated than others), then we disco’d ‘til the wee hours.
⚽ Saturday: official opening, then let the games begin! Football, volleyball and netball runners-up in all three. Lulling the competition into a false sense of security, we were just warming up for the main event….
🏆 The Austin Trophy 🏆
🔥 We lit the Primus stove (only one near disaster), flew through the sack race and three-legged madness, and crushed the Glutton Race with style, speed… and maybe a bit too much flour.
🍽️ A well-earned dinner followed by another epic disco with our Legendary DJ Andy
Sunday: long lie, sore legs, big smiles and the Austin Trophy is coming home!
